Cook! is the brainchild
of partners Nona Lim and Derek Kennedy. As busy executives
working in Singapore and later London, we were frustrated
that our hectic schedules turned the pleasures of cooking
dinner together at home into supermarket grab-and-go or lukewarm
delivery – no matter where we worked or lived. When
we moved to the Bay Area in 2005 and saw the problem was truly
universal, we decided to solve it.
Recipes are inspired by restaurants, friends,
customers and cookbooks and tested multiple times. Cook!’s
mantra is that the ingredients must stay fresh for up to three
days and that the recipes can be prepared – from start
to finish – in 20 minutes. Whenever possible, we insist
on local and organic ingredients and recyclable or reusable
packaging.
